From September, Paris unfolds a different kind of charm. The gardens are adorned with red, yellow and orange. The air remains mild, inviting you to enjoy walks along the banks of the Seine and linger tranquilly on terraces. But autumn is also the time for new exhibitions. Here are the ones that the Hotel Paris France team is looking forward to discovering this year…

Very close to the hotel

The Paris France Hotel is located in the Marais, close to several important museums. In less than fifteen minutes, you can reach the recently reopened Musée Carnavalet and catch a fascinating exhibition the museum is hosting this autumn. Parisian Citizens! examines the women’s emancipation movement between 1798 and 2000. At the Musée Picasso you can explore the dialogue between the work of Farah Atassi and that of Picasso. A magnificent retrospective of the work of Gérard Garouste awaits you at the Centre Pompidou. This major figure in contemporary French art creates very large format installations and sculptures, as well as paintings and drawings.

Headline exhibitions

Some exhibitions are already being regarded as events. At the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the dialogue between the works of Monet and Joan Mitchell promises to be fascinating. In a completely different style, the Petit Palais invites you to discover or rediscover the world of André Devambez. This Belle Epoque artist created images of his era with vivid imagination, playfulness and humour. Finally, immerse yourself in the African American culture of New Orleans with the exhibition dedicated to the Black Indians at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac.

With photography, sculpture, painting, contemporary creation, the Parisian museums are presenting a diverse cultural offering this autumn. Remember to book your tickets online prior to your stay at the Paris France Hotel. You will save precious time!
