Every summer for 21 years, the City of Paris has been turning the quays of the Seine into an urban beach for Paris Plages. This celebration of beach resort fun continues to grow year after year and now offers more activities and entertainment than ever. Discover it during your stay at the Paris France Hotel.

Relaxation, swimming and much more…

Between the Pont de Sully and Pont des Arts, the quays of the Right Bank are transformed into a long beach. Deckchairs, palm trees, parasols, and refreshing mist sprays invite you to sit comfortably on the banks of the Seine, facing the magnificent panorama of the Île de la Cité. Many activities, beach games and workshops are available for your children while the Bibliothèques Hors les Murs pop-up library service invite you to relax with a good read. What’s more, swimming and water activities such as canoeing, pedal boating, paddleboarding and even the Hawaiian canoe await you at the Bassin de la Villette.

Paris Plages at your own pace

Access to Paris Plages and most activities are free. So, it’s up to everyone to enjoy Paris Plages in their own way. You could stop by the quays for an hour or two to take a break from your sightseeing or shopping itinerary, or spend the day at the water's edge, or even in the water at the Bassin de la Villette. Remember, however, that advance booking may be necessary for some activities. The Paris France Hotel team can tell you where and how to get more information.

From July 8th to September 3rd, Paris lives to the rhythm of the beach. On the quays, at the Bassin de la Villette and in the Jardins du Trocadéro, you’ll discover the diversity of activities offered by Paris Plages while enjoying your stay at the Paris France Hotel.
