This year France hosts the UEFA European Football Championship. Take the opportunity to stay in the capital at the Hotel Paris France, where the atmosphere will be more than festive!  EURO 2016 begins on June 10th, 2016, at the Stade de France, with the first Group A match, France versus Romania. The final will be held a month later, on July 10th, 2016.

A fan zone in the Champ de Mars

If you want to get ahead of the game, you should know that the festivities will begin on the Champ de Mars on the eve of the EURO kick-off. As the composer and performer of the anthem of EURO 2016, David Guetta will give a concert at the Champ de Mars on June 9th. So that everyone can make the most of the event, the City of Paris has committed to provide an extensive space for entertainment and the showing of live games on a giant screen. The place chosen for the fan zone had to be a central and easily accessible location in the capital. Eco-designed and operated using a strongly environmental approach, this zone will host up to 120,000 people free of charge. The safety of this space, and managing the flow of fans, have been given major consideration.

The festive atmosphere of Parisian bars

If you’ve not had the chance to get a ticket for a particular match but you still want to watch your team in action and share the moment with other fans in comfort, we have a solution to recommend. The bars and restaurants of the capital will be showing the matches live each night during EURO 2016, so come along and enjoy the festive stadium atmosphere with a glass in hand!

The big wheel in national colours

To add to the fun, the big wheel on the Place de la Concorde dons the colours of the competing nations of EURO 2016 until September. Come and admire the lights of Paris as they sparkle along the Champs Elysées, offering a spectacular view!

The UEFA EURO 2016 Trophy Tour

The Trophy Tour will be making its way through France until early June. On April 2nd and 3rd it was at the Gare de Lyon, and from April 29th to May 1st the Gare Montparnasse played host. But the grand climax of the tour will come on June 8th and 9th when the Trophy will be on view at the Gare du Nord and the Gare Saint-Denis respectively. This is a golden opportunity to get up close to the Trophy and have your photo taken with it. Another carriage of the train is a EURO museum filled with photos, videos, shirts and more. But that’s not all! There are two more carriages. In one you can play your part in recording the official tournament song. In the other you can see all the previous EURO mascots, and learn more about Super Victor, the face of 2016.
