The Screen Under the Stars Festival

Vincennes, in the eastern suburbs of Paris, invites you as soon as night falls to discover four cinematic masterpieces, courtesy of the Toile Sous les Etoiles festival. Three such sessions open to the general public will take place at the beginning of July in the courtyard of the famous Château de Vincennes, where chairs and loungers will be available free of charge, subject to availability.

 

The Chair and Screen Festival; movie classics in the 11th arrondissement

Created in 2008, the Festival la Chaise et l'Ecran, organised by the 11th arrondissement’s town hall, returns this year to bring you great classics of cinema. Fans of Pialat, Truffaut and Verneuil can enjoy beautiful evenings in the parks and squares of the district. Five films will be screened during the sessions on July 26th and August 9th.

 

Short films at the Silhouette Festival

If you're a fan of short films, don’t miss the Silhouette Festival, which brings film fans a taste of the talents of tomorrow in the bucolic setting of the Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge. From August 30th to September 7th, 2019 you can attend retrospectives and concerts from 19:30, followed by a selection of short films from 21:00.

 

Movie magic on the lawns of the Parc de la Villette 

The Parc de la Villette is the essential place to be on Parisian summer evenings, having been the location of the capital’s largest outdoor movie festival each summer for more than 20 years. Every weekend from July 17th to August 18th, 2019, ardent cinephiles and anyone who simply wants to be entertained gather from 21:30 on the park’s lawns to be swept away by the magic of the movies.
