A summer in Paris is always filled with unique events. Various parts of the capital undergo a unique metamorphosis during this beautiful season. A great example this summer is the Gare du Nord. On July 11th this bustling railway station becomes a roost for night owls!

Paris-Nord in the spotlight

For a single, hotly anticipated night in July, the Gare du Nord, Europe’s busiest railway station, will become a real Parisian nightclub. It is a unique moment in which Parisians, as well as visitors to the capital, will see this major transport hub in a completely new light; a strobe light! This station, which caters to millions of travellers each year, is about to cater to a different clientele. Here on July 11th you will find a 4,000 m2 dance floor fully equipped to accommodate around 3,000 revellers at a silent disco. Headsets will be provided at the entrance and you will be able to tune into the DJ, and hence the music genre, of your choice as, from 22:30 to 5:30 in the morning, a group of top DJs will keep you on your feet. So there you have it; your timetable and your destination. This is one non-stop express you don’t want to miss!

Festivities that light up the city

The most iconic castle in the history of France, the Château de Versailles, is a place of discovery and magic. If you spend an extended weekend or longer at the Hotel Paris France, in the heart of the capital, you can experience an amazing show on any Saturday evening from June 20th until September 19th. The Fountains Light Show is a magical blending of music, stunning light effects, dancing fountains and fireworks, all taking place within the sumptuous gardens of this exceptional location, the Château de Versailles. Art and history lovers will be delighted to see this majestic building shine amidst the spectacle of the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes. At the Hotel Paris France, where we will be pleased to welcome you during your stay, you will be just minutes away by public transport from this event.

The music festival which takes place each year in Paris on the same date to mark the beginning of the summer is similarly accessible to all free of charge. La Fête de la Musique offers the opportunity to discover the capital during a celebration featuring numerous concerts and musical entertainment all across the city. The warm, eccentric and slightly retro charm of Paris makes the capital the ideal location for such a festival, as musicians set up and play on the streets, in parks and public buildings, cafes, theatres and, in fact, virtually anywhere. Major stars of the French and international scene as well as enthusiastic and passionate amateurs turn the city into an enchanted musical wonderland for an entire evening, to the delight of thousands of joyous onlookers.
